Melancholy Day

Today a big storm front blew in, it made me feel insecure.

It passed pretty quickly, so I ventured out a bit.

We went on our usually trip to the mailbox.
Mom started filming my waddle again.
I gave her a look.

When we got home I just wanted to stay close to Mom.
I followed her around the house everywhere she went.

Then Nice Boy came over for a couple of hours.
When he left it was nighttime, so I really wanted to go out too!

He won that battle.

So I watched him go from the window.

Daddy came home right after that.
I was feeling better, so Mom played with me.

But I was still a little melancholy, so I didn't play long.

Early today Mom had noticed a mark on my nose.
She seems more worried about it than I am.
She keeps asking me what happened.
As if I could tell her.

I just need some love, Mom..

and maybe a nighttime walk?

Still Moody

Last night, while Mom was trying to sleep,
I meowed and meowed!
Normally she understands that meow,
but for some reason she just didn't get it.
I was trying to say "watch me eat"
all she heard was "let me out"
Humans.
Since she refused to get out of bed, I settled for Mimzy.

I started my day the usual way...

We went to check the mail,
but I totally freaked out today!
Maybe it was the wind combined with people being out,
but I PANICKED!

When we got back to the house Mom helped me work out my
frustrations with playtime.

Then I took a nice nap while Mom ate lunch.

after calming down I went outside to enjoy some tasty plant.

But eventually she still left me.
She was gone for more than 3 hours!
I couldn't even enjoy the spectacular sunset!

But when she came home Daddy was with her.
So that was nice.

I immediately asked to go outside!

They didn't let me.
So I settled down for another nap.

I stayed here until I saw Mom get up to do the blog.
Now I'm whining.

And whine I shall until she takes me for a nighttime walk!

Winchester Whiner

Today I started off super sweet.
I was using Mom's knee for a pillow.

Then I moved in front of the window.
A clear demonstration that my tail moves non-stop.

When I got up my bratty attitude went into full swing.

I wanted outside.
But it didn't happen fast enough,
so I started to go up into my Ultimate Box of Rebellion.
Mom tried to stop me by opening the door.
Of course, I couldn't make her think I was happy about that.
I went into my Ultimate Box of Rebellion anyway.
For about 1 minute.
Then I went outside.

After awhile I came in.
I didn't wait for Mom to take my harness off,
I just jumped up into my Ultimate Box of Rebellion.
She had to climb onto a stepladder to try to get it off me.
Of course, I stayed just out of reach.
She was only able to get it part-way off.
So she said this was going in my blog and went to get the camera.
I came close enough to let her finish the job.

Harness half on, half off

And, of course, once she had finally succeeded in getting it off,
I snuck back outside without it.

She caught on and tethered me.

Drat!

She was trying to get housework done and decided I was being too much trouble.
So she made me come in.
I was hyper, but at least I had a bunch of new toys to play with.

Chewbacca Mouse!

OH! Mom's filming, stop being cute!

She did let me out a bit to watch the sunset.

But then it was back indoors.
I was not about to give in!
I meowed and meowed and meowed!
Daddy came home and I tried meowing at him too.
I was relentless!

Let me OUT!

Um...Door's still not open!

Stop filming and let me OUT!

Finally!
I win!
They took me out for a nighttime ride!

This will appease me....
for a little while anyway.

A Better Day

Something was different today.
Daddy stayed home.
But that didn't change my routine.

Mom and Daddy enticed me to come down and go outside.
It was nice to have them both there.
I enjoyed some tasty plant.

I rolled on the sidewalk and enjoyed the day.

Mom even brought some toys out and played with me!

I had fun!

Sneak Attack!

But then they left me and went to the river again.

And again I present you with the evidence of my loneliness:
Mimzy never leaves me.

Mom and Daddy returned with a new chair.
It smelled like the river.
I like it.

Only half of the Monday People showed up tonight.
Sweet Monday, (formerly Sweet Tuesday), greeted me properly.
I like her.

But I couldn't help notice it was now nighttime.
All I can do is look outside.
I want to go there.

Please Mom!

Hissy Fit

Today Mom and Daddy left.

I was lonely.
Here's the evidence.

They came home.
Mom took a nap, Daddy left.
Daddy came back and took Mom away.
Then they were gone FOREVER!

When they finally came back,
Auntie and Uncle were with them and they all smelled like the river.
I was alone all day, so I expected to be spoiled when they got home.

But, Mommy went straight into the hot tub.
Auntie started to take me for a walk.
But when I tried to climb on the rocks, she stopped me.
I hissed at her.
I hissed at her more than once.
Then she put me back in the house and left me with my leash still on.
Then Uncle took my leash off.
Later, Uncle tried to put me on the tether outside, but I hissed at him too.
He scolded me.

I NEED SOME PROPER LOVING!
AND WHERE'S MOMMY?!

I pouted.

Everyone came in the house finally and ate dinner.
I just claimed a chair and sulked.

Eventually Mom came and tried to cheer me up.

She got out one of my new toys!
(The Falcon)

Yes!
THIS is what I wanted!

Thanks Mom!

She played with me until I was tired!

Then she put the Falcon on my scratching post.

I couldn't resist.

I'm still sad.
But at least I know Mom loves me.
Maybe tomorrow will be better.
