Play Time!

Today, after the trip to the mailbox,
I couldn't wait to get home.

I wanted back in the house as soon as possible.

As soon as I got into the house I sat down for
an entire 45 seconds...maybe.
Then I went back outside.

Mom sat with me for a bit,
then we went inside and played!

First we played with the Falcon on the couch.

Then we played tag!

All over the house!

After Daddy came home early again I went up
to my Ultimate Box of Rebellion to nap.

But I got lonely up there and started asking for Mom.

But she left.
I was home alone with Daddy.
I missed Mom.

Finally Daddy went and got her!
I begged her take me outside for a nighttime walk!

I meowed and meowed!

She put me out on the tether.

I meowed loudly!
Mom! I said walk not tether!

She wasn't happy with me and told me to stop
disturbing the neighbors and come inside.

Fine!  But get this tether off me!
She mumbled something about trying to
eat dinner in peace.
Whatever!  What about my needs, Mom?!

Finally!  She took me for a walk!

Then she played with me some more!

Then I played by myself.

Now I'll calm down Mom.

Simple Pleasures

This morning Mom woke up to find me actually
sleeping on her legs!
She was happy.
It's not like I wanted to snuggle or anything...
I just wanted to steal some of her warmth.

So I made sure I was just out of reach.

I wasn't really eager to get up either.
Today was wet.

I thought we should stay in bed all day, but Mom had other ideas.

We made our usual trip to the mail box.
New Lady and Nice Lady were both there.
So were the Maintenance Guys....I'm not used to them.
So I was eager to leave.

Walk faster Mom!

When we got home I had to fix my fur.
It had been drizzling outside after all.

I stood at the door and considered going back outside.

I tested it.

I sniffed around the patio.

And then I went inside.

I remained here for quite some time.

Then, one by one, at odd times,
three of the Teenagers came over.

I decided I wanted to sit with Mom.

All the humans acted really surprised.

I took a brief nap.
This time within Mom's reach.

But after awhile I became restless.
I started wandering around the house
meowing my discontent.

Eventually the Teenagers went home.
To my surprise Mom actually took me for
a nighttime walk!

This is great!

Now I can be content at home for the rest of the night!

Good Day

Today I was a good boy!

I was well behaved on the walk to the mail box.

I was even well behaved when we went to visit Nice Lady in the office.

After we got home, I went up into my
Ultimate Box of Rebellion for a good nap.

Daddy came home early today and
Mom played with me for a bit.

They let me sit outside and enjoy the sunset.

I could feel Autumn coming,
so I huddled on the patio.

The Monday people came over.
At first I curled up near Mom and Daddy on the couch...

But now I'm restless.
I saw another cat outside.

Now, if I could just get Mom to let me outside...
MEOW!

Boundaries

Today I felt like pushing my boundaries.

Mom was not pleased.
She made me go inside.
So I decided to take a nap.

My tail had other ideas...

You can see I'm slowly dozing off,
but my tail just doesn't quit.

I finally held it down so I could sleep.

After a good nap,
I moved to the window.

Then it was back outside to test my boundaries.
I started off pretending to behave.

Then I crept forward...

I played it cool.

I made myself comfortable on the sidewalk.

Then I pushed my boundary further...

Again...Mom was not pleased.
This was, after all, my second offense of the day.

She tethered me.

I made the best of it.

Mom left with Sarcastic Monday.
While she was gone, I tested Daddy's patience.
Uncle and Auntie came over.
I misbehaved.

Finally Mom came home.
Everyone ratted me out.
Mom scolded me a bit,
but she was understanding and played with me to get my wiggles out.
Even so, I sensed she was unhappy about the way I behaved
while she was gone.
So I curled up behind her on the couch.

I'm sorry I was such a brat today, Mom.

I'll be better tomorrow.
