Adjustments

Today Mom spent a good deal of time

talking to the Nice Ladies in the office.

When she finally decided to leave I was 

ready to go!

When nighttime came,

the Monday People arrived.

Monday Uncle put his bag on MY napping chair!

Mom moved my blanket to another chair.

(Why she just couldn't move HIS stuff, I don't understand.)

It just wasn't the same.

At first I sulked by the door.

Then I attempted to reclaim my chair,

but it just didn't feel right.

I then tried the new chair.

I guess it'll have to do.

After Monday Aunt and Uncle left,

Mom and Favorite Auntie gave me a scarf.

I wasn't sure of it at first,

but I think I'm pretty OK with it.

Now if Mom will just remember to put my

blanket back on the other chair.

Oh well.

Sleeping the Day Away

Today I slept.

And then I napped.

Eventually Mom and Daddy came to see if

I was ever going to get out of bed.

I gave them my response...

...and settle back down to continue napping.

However, they had already disturbed my slumber.

So I wandered out of the bedroom and 

curled up on the dining chair.

Of course, once I was out in the main part of the house,

I got restless.

So Mom let me outside on the tether.

I exited cautiously.

I found a curious scent on the outside of my door.

I came back in for a bit,

then begged to be let out again.

Oh, that's right...it's cold out here.

So now I'm back inside where it's warm...

...but I am REALLY bored!

Winter Weather

Yesterday, just when I thought everything was 

going to be alright,

Wednesday Guy came back and took Mom away after all!

Mom and Daddy didn't come home until

after midnight!

I was so lonely I couldn't even

get Mimzy into the food bowl properly.

I suppose it's not abnormal for them

to stay out so late, but it was windy outside!

Today things became 

more dramatic!

Just before sunrise there was a 

raging windstorm!

The sound of the wind was very unnerving!

Then, suddenly, the wind took

out the electricity!

It was so close to my house!

First there was a loud noise, 

then a bright flash of light...

and BANG, everything went dark!

I didn't even have a chance to react when the

lights started to come back on and then...

BANG! FLASH!

Again, and all went dark for the next eight hours!

I was scared!

I'm glad Mom was there to comfort me!

When afternoon came around,

it started to snow.

It was coming down thick!

So Mom decided we'd better check the mail

before it got much worse.

This involved no walking whatsoever on my part.

I really wanted to see out,

but it became difficult with the wind blowing the 

snow into my face!

I took advantage of the brief covering in front of the office.

No Nice Ladies today, 

I guess they couldn't work without electricity.

Mom and Daddy went out for a bit, 

but they seem to being staying put for

the rest of night.

I'm taking turns between

watching the snowflakes out the window

and napping!

I think it's good snuggle weather!

Pleasant Day

Today we visited with Nice Lady 2 for a bit.

When we came home I was in a good mood.

It sure has been nice to have Mom around today.

We actually played for awhile.

(I like to play in rooms with bad lighting for the camera)

The toy of choice was goose feathers on a string.

It's a great toy for aerial attacks!

I'm going to call this day good.

Wednesday Guy came, but he didn't take Mom away!

I guess because it's Friday.

But the Teenagers haven't shown up either!

It's almost too quiet.

Makes me suspicious.

It's All Good Until The Cat Gets Bored

Today I was feeling pretty good!

Nice Lady was a little too busy to visit,

but I still enjoyed being in the office for awhile.

Ummm...can you take my harness off?

Ahh, this feels good.

Except, I'd still like to register a complaint

against having my harness on.

After I accepted the fact that Mom was

not going to be taking off my harness,

I wandered all over the place.

Then I relaxed some more.

Yep, I was in a good mood today.

Then I realized I wasn't going to be doing

anything else for the rest of the day!

I just sat on a dining chair yearning for

some outside time.

Sure, I napped for awhile,

but even a cat can only nap for so long.

Once in awhile I checked to see if Mom

would stop working and play with me...

No?

Fine!

I'm going to get into mischief!

That didn't go very well,

so I'm back to my chair.

BORED!

BORED!

BORED!

Sooner or later, Mom...

You WILL play with me.

Oh, yes, you will play with me!

Indoors

Today I did nothing.

So what else is new?

I realized things were back to normal when

Mom got herself ready to leave the house.

I responded with a persistent need to be in my

Box of Rebellion.

That Wednesday Guy came and a took Mom.

Leaving me home alone.

The night got really windy and rainy.

I couldn't wait for Mom and Daddy to come home.

When they finally did, I ran around the house!

I had some pent up "hypers" to get out.

As soon as Mom picked up the camera

I settled down.

I wish it was nicer outside so I could

go on a nighttime walk...

but wind and rain are two of my least favorite things.

I'll settle for Mom's lap.

Lazy Rain

Today I was in a pretty good mood,

despite the fact that it was raining.

It didn't rain too much, I guess.

Somehow it just made me not feel

like doing anything.

Mom and Daddy's friend came to visit.

I think I've met her before,

but it's been awhile.

Eventually I know I'm going to get antsy, though.

Then I will expect some serious playtime!

But not yet.
