I'll Just Stay in My Box Today, Thank You.

Today I was a bit moody.

I guess I was still recovering from Mom and Daddy being gone.

I slept close to Mom all night.

I didn't really want to get up.

When I did,

One of the Teenagers came over.

I went into my Ultimate Box of Rebellion.

(She was amazed at my jumping skills! Right over her head!)

But then Mom got me down and we all went to go get the mail.

When we stopped in the office,

we had to wait for Nice Lady.

But I just wanted to go home because the garbage truck was outside.

But Mom wasn't going to let me.

(I'll just sit here then?)

Finally! Home again!

 I went right back into my

Ultimate Box of Rebellion.

I got down for a bit and investigated things.

And then...

Right back into my Box...

Where I slept for most of the day.

The Monday People came over later.

This is me being social:

In truth, I'm really glad to have familiar people back!

So...umm...Mom?

Can I go out for a nighttime walk?

They're Home!

In case you haven't heard,

My Mom and Daddy left me on Friday.

LEFT ME!

I saw what they were doing....

Before going to my Box of Rebellion

I hid under the chair in the living room.

Then

They

LEFT

ME!

They went here:

Whatever!

They left me with some guy I didn't know.

I mean, he was vaguely familiar.

But I mostly hid in my room or sat in the window.

When Mom and Daddy came home I was hiding under the chair in my room.

But since I heard them calling me, I came out.

Mom missed me!

She took me outside!

I hadn't been outside in DAYS!

She took me for a walk!

She brought home things with smells on them!

Then she let me off the tether and I got to roll on the sidewalk!

Oooooooh!

I missed this!

She tried to entice me to go on a longer walk,

But this roll felt way too good!

No, Mom, I'm good here thanks!

I smelled more things.

The catnip was nice.

I went looking for that frog.

Mom didn't even make me come in for brushing!

She came to me!

I really needed that!

Eeeewww!

Thanks for getting that off me, Mom!

Then the clouds got noisy.

So we came in.

Mom snuggled in for an afternoon nap.

I missed her so much I actually snuggled up with her!

I'm so happy they're home!

Something's Not Right Here

Last night Creeper Cat was outside!

I did my best to scare him off.

Success!

Today was mediocre.

We had thunderstorms.

Afterward there were a lot of smells,

so I went for a short walk before getting the mail.

We visited Nice Lady and New Lady in the office.

I made myself at home.

Can I get this harness off, Mom?

I was so relaxed that I started to play with my leash!

I even backed up to get a good pounce in!

When we went back outside,

I realized the ground was too wet for a good roll.

Well this is disappointing!

So I just sat outside with Mom.

Then the Teenagers came over!

ON THURSDAY!

(What's up with people coming over on the wrong day?)

One of the girls played with me.

That was nice.

But in the end they all ignored me.

I wanted more attention.

I wanted to go outside.

I wanted...I wanted...

I'm just not happy!

Mom tells me something I don't want to hear.

Tomorrow she's leaving me!

She'll be away from wifi even, so she won't be able 

to do the blog for a couple of days!

So, she's telling me that not only will she not be here to shower

me with attention...

but my internet friends won't be able to either?!

I am Winchester Feline, and I am not pleased.

I Think it Was a Frog.

Last night Mom and Daddy took me for a nighttime car ride!

I had a lot of fun!

Today was pretty typical.

Mail.

Office.

Home.

Roll on the sidewalk.

Then I saw it.

I crouched.

I crept up on it.

I pounced!

I got it!

Sort of.

I think it got away.

It's got to be here somewhere!

I couldn't find it again.

Bummer!

Mom thinks it might have been a frog.

Then Mom left me.

She came back with one of the Monday People.

(This is getting to be habit)

They're ignoring me and I want to go outside!

Anytime now, People!

100th Post

Today was a day like any other.

I woke up:

(This is my groggy face)

After eating my food and acting like I wanted outside,

I got up into my

Ultimate Box of Rebellion!

After a snooze up there,

Mom and I went to get the mail

and stopped off in the office to say 'hi' to New Lady.

Then we enjoyed the outdoors for a bit.

I had a good roll on the sidewalk.

Then Auntie came and took Mom away.

Mom came back smelling like....

yep...the river.

Mom had some things to do in the house, so I helped.

I really wanted to go back outside,

but all Mom did was open a window for me.

(you can just see my glee)

I had pent up energy.

I started in my tunnel...

Then went crazy!

Let's see that again in slow motion!

Yep, I'm silly!

I really couldn't get my mind off going outside.

Mom promises she'll take me later.

Yippee!

In honor of this being my 100th blog post,

I'm going to leave you with a trip down memory lane.
