Christmas 2013

Today was Christmas!

I found out what that mysterious mouse sound is!

I got a new toy!

Squeaky Mouse!

Mom gave me wet food!
and...and...catnip!
and...and..and...!
I tired myself out and napped most of the day.

Then Mom put Squeaky Mouse on a string and
played with me without filming it!
Undivided attention!

Then I realized it was too quiet today...

But things are just getting started!
Uncle and Auntie have finally arrived!

Merry Christmas!

Left Alone

Today Sarcastic Monday came over
and visited with Mom while
I tried desperately to steal the attention.

Most of which Mom failed to get on camera.
She claimed I was avoiding the camera...

or just too fast for her.

I think she wasn't paying close enough attention.

I even heard that sound again!
That mysterious mouse sound.
And Mom was acting suspicious again.

When it began to look as if they were
going to leave me, I tried the
"I'm too cute to leave" tactic.

They still left me.

Then Mom and Daddy both came home
...for a bit.
Then left me.

I'm pretty sure I've been alone all day!

When they finally came home to stay,
Mom gave me some overdue attention.

Then Mom started acting like she was
in a really good mood.
Now, I ask you, how can she be in
a good mood if she's been away from me all day?

My face: when things have not gone my way.

Playful Day

Today was good.

It was fairly warm, so I enjoyed my walk.

However, when we visited the Nice Ladies in the office,
something new happened.

Nice Lady 2's daughter and granddaughter were there.
The little human made me nervous.

Granted, if they're crying, I can't help but to try to
help little humans.
This one was not crying.
She was giggling and running  toward me!

I wanted out!

Mom wasn't going for it.

Eventually I began to calm down.

And, of course, eventually the little human left.

Finally Mom let me out!

No, Mom!  I can't wait for you to close the door behind us!

Once I got outside I was cool as a cucumber.

After Mom relieved me of my harness, she left the door open.
I was good and stayed on the patio.

She made me come inside after a short while.

As it turns out, she was leaving me.
She was gone for a couple of hours.

When she returned she started
eating something out of a small bowl.

I know small bowls are for me!
What gives?

Really?  Are you sure that's not my food?

Then she discovered I have a strange affinity for the duster.

I followed it all around the house.

I don't know what it is,
but I just can't ignore the duster!

Then, while Mom was doing something it
the kitchen, I thought I heard a mouse.

Mom was acting suspicious.
I really want to know where that noise was coming from!

I also heard tissue paper.
She admitted to having that and let me play with it.

She even gave me Mimzy to add to it!

OK, this is FUN!

Mimzy underneath!

One last pounce!

After I played with Mimzy and the paper
I climbed onto the dining chair...

but down below...

Mimzy!

So Mom handed her to me!

Aww yeah!  Good stuff!

The Monday people didn't come over tonight.

So I eventually settled down on the couch
next to Mom and napped until Daddy came home.

But there's no way I'm done playing for the night!

Play on My Terms

Today I enjoyed some sunlight.

I also enjoyed the fact that Mom put the nice green
blanket on my favorite spot by the window.

I was in a playful mood.
I'm not playing rough, it just looks that way.

"What?  Your hand is tasty, Mom."

I went back into the window for a bit,
and then back on the blanket.

There was a light on the wall map.

I had to catch it!

Upon realization that I couldn't catch it,
(but more because Mom quit playing),
I took a nap.

After a nice long nap,
I wandered into the living room and...
took a nap.

Then I played in the bathroom.

Mom tried to get me to play in the living room.
I put in about this much effort in:

Later I stole the armchair from Daddy.

I want to keep it for the rest of the night.

At least, that's what I thought...

Until Auntie and Uncle came over.
Auntie took the chair, but invited me back to share it.

This is acceptable.
