Warm Spring Day!

(2)

Yesterday started off about the same as the day before.
When Mom got me to go outside I found that it was even warmer!

She once again went to get the mail without me.
Except, when she came back, she took me for a walk!

Then she tried to get me to follow her into
the office to visit the Nice Ladies.

I respectfully declined.

I went as far as the sidewalk and got in a good roll.

Eventually Mom made me go into the office anyway.

That small human was in there.

As it turns out, I began to relax and wander around.

Ultimately, however, I asked Mom to kindly take me home.

Afterwards, I got to enjoy quite a lot of time outside.

When Daddy came home I started to play indoors.

Then, after spending time hanging out with Computer Aunt,
Mom joined me!

There was so much fun string to play with!

I have to admit, it did get the best of me
for a bit.

What I really wanted was to go back outside
and have a good nighttime walk.

I had to settle for playing with string.

Now, if I could just get into this box, I know I'll
have tons of space to run around and explore!

Warm Day, Happy Cat

(2)

Yesterday, as soon as Mom got up and dressed,
I retreated to my Unhappy Place under the desk.

I was certain she was going to make me go someplace
I didn't want to go.

Again, however, she went on the usual mail run
WITHOUT ME!

When she returned home, she coaxed me outside.
And what a beautiful day outside it was!

It was so warm!
The occasional gust of wind was pleasant and
had so many springtime smells on it!

I stayed out there as long as Mom would allow.
Which, as it turns out was quite a long time!

I even got in a great roll on the sidewalk.

It was so nice, I got to stay out until
the shadows got pretty long.

Even after we went inside, Mom spent
a decent amount of time playing with me.

When evening came, so did the Monday People.
Mom, Daddy, Monday Aunt and Uncle and Sarcastic Monday.
Everyone was there!

I got a bit rambunctious and ran all over the house,
meowing my enthusiasm.

After all the Monday People went home,
Mom found me here:

In the dark dining room, looking out the
window from the forbidden vantage point.

On top of the dining table!

Oops!
I guess after such a great day I thought I could get
away with pushing my boundaries.

Just between you and me,
I got away with it longer than Mom will ever know!

Gaining Courage

(3)

Yesterday I was a bit insecure to begin with.
Mom and Daddy had left for a couple of hours,
so I put Mimz in my food bowl again.

It was a beautifully sunny spring day,
so I soaked up some warmth in the window.

Mom coaxed me outside to enjoy the spring weather.

However, my insecurities got the better of me
and I went to the safety of my bed...
harness and all.

Mom enticed me a second time.

Well, I had to admit, the new spring grass was good.

Next thing I knew, Mom and Daddy got it into
their heads that it would be a good idea to take
me out for a car ride!

We went into a human store, so I rode in
my Traveling Bag.

When we got back into the car, I was in no mood
to face the world.

Then, as it turns out, I began to find my courage.

I have to admit, I kind of enjoyed it.

We stopped to sit outside for a bit.
I once again retreated to the security of my
Traveling Bag.

I was less than pleased.

Mom made me come out.
I was nervous at first, but then she showed
me this nice cubby hole!

Once again, I began to find my courage.

I even began to think I might look around
this place some more!

Yep, bravery was beginning to take hold.

Mom didn't even have to carry me much after that.

When we went home, Auntie and Uncle
came to visit again.
That was nice.

Once it got quiet again with just Mom and I,
I asked if I could go on a nighttime walk.

Mom wasn't interested.
So I curled up next to her on the couch instead.

I guess she's done alright by me after all.

Miffed at Mom

(5)

Yesterday I chose to spend most of my time
on the chair under Mom's desk.
(Auntie calls it my 'Unhappy Place')
I'm still feeling a bit mad at Mom for leaving me last week.

Mom didn't take me with her to get the mail.
She checked on me from time to time,
but I remained in my Unhappy Place all day.

I finally came out when Daddy came home.

I went into my Ultimate Box of Rebellion,
but refused to stay long enough for Mom to take a picture.

Although, her attempts to photograph me blocked
my escape from the top of the fridge.
So she managed to get one good shot.

Mom and Daddy left for awhile.
When they returned I was sitting on the back
of the recliner.
I watched as Mom and Daddy entered the house.

Then Auntie and Uncle came in behind them!
I greeted them most joyously!

The humans sat around and played games.
So I got some wiggles in me.

I got Mom to chase me to the back window.

After Auntie and Uncle left,
I thought I saw something move outside.
I had seen White Kitty out there earlier,
so I thought perhaps he was there again.

But no, it was just the wind.

Once again it was just me and Mom.
So I curled up on the couch.

I decided to finally give Mom a bit of attention
by snuggling next to her.

Then again...

...I'm still mad at her.

So she can have my butt end.

Back to My Chair

(2)

Yesterday when Mom and I visited
Nice Lady in the office, I was fine.

I sat on a chair next to Mom.

Then, for reasons I can't explain, I got scared
and hid under the sofa again.

I stayed there until I heard Mom open the door
that leads home.

I spent much of the rest of my day sitting
on my chair watching the great outdoors.

One of the Teenagers, Quiet Boy, came over.
Then his Mom showed up too.
She sat in my chair.
The second she stood up, I took it back.

Later, Mom sat in the armchair for a bit.
So I curled up on her lap.

I didn't stay there very long.
I got the wiggles and began to trot around the house.

Always returning to my window in the door.

Once I got my wiggles out,
I settled back onto my chair.

Yes, I'm back to being chair addicted.
Can you blame me?
