Happy New Year 2014!

Today was the last day of 2013.

Suddenly I am famous!
The Nice Ladies in the apartment office put me in the newsletter!

Thanks, Nice Ladies!

Mom promised she would play with me today...

and she did!

Yoda-Mouse on a string!

Slide attack!
Let's see that again.

Too much fun!

Mom said that she and Daddy had the option of
leaving me tonight,
but they decided to stay home!

They played games and hung out with Computer Aunt.

I got bored and lazy.

This is my spot on the dining room chair.

Mom tried to entice me to play some more.

Well, this is nice, but I'd really like a
nighttime walk!

I got my wish!

Happy New Year everyone!

Tethered

Today Mom was too busy doing other stuff
to take me to get the mail at the usual time.

So I sat by the door and waited for a long time.

Which means she was too busy to watch me eat.

So I put the Falcon in my food bowl.

(Thought I'd switch things up a bit and give Mimzy a break)

Finally she got around to getting the mail.
Then she let me stay outside on the tether!

Eventually the Monday People came over!
I've missed them.
Then Auntie and Uncle showed up too!

I wanted to stay close to the people,
but they took the good chair in the living room.

So I stayed in the dining room.

All by myself.

After Monday Aunt and Uncle left,
Mom took me for a short nighttime walk.

Then  she let me stay out on the tether again.

Now that I'm back inside, all the
people are leaving.

Maybe Mom will devote her attention to me.

I Need Human Company

Today, when Mom and Daddy left,
I got lonely.
I played with my toys for awhile, then there
was a noise that scared me.
Since I was all alone, I hid under the bed.

I was very happy when Mom and Daddy finally
came home and found me.

I curled up behind Mom's legs on the couch and napped.

Then I climbed up behind her and napped on the back of the couch.

I just wanted to be near the humans.

Then Mom got out the Falcon and played with me.

Then Auntie and Uncle came over.
I was happy to have more of my humans nearby.

They went into the dining room to play a game,

so I followed them.

I just really don't want to be alone!

However, I'm suspicious that they plan to leave me
again tonight.

Sigh.

Short Day

Today I slept the day away.

Mom and Daddy left me alone for hours.
We didn't even go to get the mail until after dark.

I was sure happy to have them home.

Of course, these short winter days make me sleepy.

So I took a nap.

I was feeling insecure today,
so every time I wanted to eat I asked Mom
to come and watch over me.

So...how long is winter?

A Bit of Boredom

Today I spent some time with
Nice Lady 1.

I wandered all over the office.
(Look closely)

I was a little nervous today,
so Mom put me back on the leash and
kept me close to her.

After awhile she let me wander some more.

As soon as she moved towards the exit door
I got excited.
She just stood there, however,
holding the door handle...
mocking me.

Finally she let me outside!
I got to roll on the sidewalk!

I made sure my fur had a nice layer of dirt!

When we got home,
it was nap time.

Mom & Daddy hung out with Computer Aunt.
(I should say, Computer Aunts and Cousin(?) because they
deserve some acknowledgement)

Anyway...

Before long I became bored with napping and wanted to play.

Unfortunately, Mom wasn't feeling up to playing
with me today.

I restlessly wandered all over the living room...
until I accidentally slid off my perch,
taking the Christmas stuff with me to the floor.

I decided the dining room was a better place to play.

Now I'm ready to nap!

(Back of the couch, right behind Mom!)

Day of Play

Today I got off to a slow start.

But once I got going, I played with my new
Squeaky Mouse.

After getting the mail,
Mom let me sit outside.

When I came inside, Mom hung my
harness on the chair...
I found it irresistible.

I played with Squeaky Mouse again.

Then Mom found one of my old strings.

I had trouble deciding between napping and playing.

Play won me over.

Especially after Mom tied Yoda-Mouse onto
the end of the string.

It's been a great day of play!

Now to hone my chair stealing skills
and settle in for the night.
